Caldwell Wrestlers Pick Up 2 More Wins at Ohio County

The Caldwell County Tiger wrestling team continued its hot start to the 2021-22 season on Thursday by taking a pair of dual matches at Ohio County.

Caldwell rolled past Henderson County 63-12.

The Tigers lost just one contested match against the Colonels. Caldwell’s other loss was a forfeit.

Winning by pin for Caldwell were Logan Brown at 106 pounds, Andre Carter at 113, Collin Teutsch at 120, Cofy Walls at 126, Riley Johnson at 132, Jackson Riley at 144, Ethan Newsom at 150, Dylan Walls at 175 and Preston Rogers at 215.

Timothy Nichols claimed a 14-0 decision at 138 while Colin Walls won by technical fall, 16-0, at 190.

Caldwell knocked off the host Eagles 50-24.

Claiming wins by pin in that match for Caldwell were Cofy Walls at 126, Johnson at 132 and Dylan Walls at 165.

Brown won by technical fall, 16-1, at 106 pounds.

Nichols claimed a 12-5 decision at 138.

Caldwell’s wrestlers are scheduled to compete in action at the Neal Wilson Invitational at Benton, Ill., on Saturday. Thirteen teams are slated to see action.
