The West Kentucky Hoops Classic has announced that University of Kentucky basketball legend and former NBA player Jack “Goose” Givens will join UK men’s basketball team chaplain Max Appel as guest speakers at this year’s team breakfast.
That event is sponsored by HR Ministries and will be held Tuesday morning at the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center in Princeton.
Fifteen teams are playing in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic, which will be contested Monday and Tuesday at Caldwell County High School’s CAB gym.
Boys’ teams are Caldwell County, Lyon County, Murray, Arlington (Tenn.), Biggersville (Miss.), Career Academy (St. Louis, Mo.), Huffman (Birmingham, Ala.), Lee (Montgomery, Ala.) and Webb (Bell Buckle, Tenn.).
Girls’ teams are Caldwell County, Lyon County, Daviess County, Henderson County, Hickman County and Biggersville (Miss.).
The team breakfast is for players, coaches, parents and organizers, and features an inspirational message.
