Trigg County will play Clarksville Northeast for the first time in school history Tuesday as part of the Roy’s Barbecue/First Southern National Bank Holiday Classic in Russellville.
After Tuesday, the only Clarksville school Trigg County will have not played is Rossview. Northeast brings a 2-5 record into the tournament.
The Wildcats (4-4) are in the same bracket with Russellville (1-4), who they beat last week at the Chappel Allen Memorial Classic, and Hancock County (3-6).
Regardless of how they do against Northeast, they will play again Tuesday night at 8 o’clock. The top half of the bracket features Owensboro Catholic (4-6), Springfield Tennessee, Metcalfe County (6-5), and Oakland, Tennessee.
After two games on Tuesday, the Wildcats will complete play Wednesday.
