After seeing a nine-game winning run come to an end last time out, the Todd County Central boys’ basketball team got started Tuesday night on what they hope will be another successful stretch with a 59-12 drubbing of Foundation Christian Academy.

The Rebels enjoyed a 45-point victory over the Falcons back on December 16 and it was clear from the opening stages this game would follow a similar pattern.  Jamison Glass led the early onslaught with 10 points and Mareke Johnson and Perez Whitlock combined for 10 to lead the way to a 22-2 lead after the 1st quarter.

Todd Central continued to pile it on in the 2nd, with six Rebels getting on the scoresheet on the way to a 41-6 halftime advantage.

Glass capped his game-high 17-point performance with four more in the 3rd and Micah Smith and Demauryen Merriweather each scored four in the 4th quarter to close out the Rebel effort.

Todd Central will expect a more strenuous test when the Rebels open 13th-District play with a visit from Franklin-Simpson on Friday.  The Rebels dropped all three meetings with the Wildcats last season, including a 77-61 loss in the opening round of the district tournament.
