Todd County Central looks to make a strong run in the boys’ 4th Region All A Classic Tournament that begins Monday at various sites.
The Rebels (11-2) are off to their best start in several years and play a Foundation Christian team they have already beaten twice this year by a combined score of 117-25. The Bowling Green private school is 0-8 against KHSAA opposition this season.
Todd County has won three All A region titles but none since 2004. Monday’s game in Bowling Green is at 7:30.
The other lower bracket quarterfinal features Monroe County (1-10) and Cumberland County (3-8). The lower semifinal is Thursday at 6 at Russellville High School.
In the upper bracket, the four schools have combined to win 27 All A region titles. Clinton County (13-2), winners of three of the last four region titles, plays at Russellville (3-7). The other quarterfinal has Metcalfe County (7-7), winners of 10 region titles, hosting Glasgow (8-5).
The region championship game will be Friday at 8 at Russellville High.
