The Dawson Springs Lady Panthers have now picked up their fourth win in their last five games. The Lady Panther defense limited Fort Campbell to just three points in the opening quarter as Dawson Springs rolled to a 61-21 win Tuesday night.
Abby Ward and Madelyn Huddleston got the Lady Panther offense started as Dawson Springs jumped out to a 19-3 lead after the first eight minutes of the contest. The Dawson defense kept the pressure on during the second quarter, holding the Lady Falcons to just two field goals as the lead grew to 32-7 at the half.
Gracie Harper took over the game in the third quarter. Harper scored 11 points for Dawson Springs as the Lady Panthers moved the lead on out to 53-19. Marlie Fanning had a big quarter for Fort Campbell hitting for six points.
The running clock then sped up play in the final quarter as Dawson Springs ran on out to the final 40 point victory.
Dawson Springs’ Gracie Harper led all scorers with 16 points. Madelyn Huddleston added 12. Abby Ward just missed double figures with 9.
Fort Campbell was paced by Marlie Fanning with 8. Charlize Cruz added four for the Lady Falcons.
Dawson Springs improves to 5-8 with the win. Fort Campbell drops to 1-8.
