
After losing to Caldwell County by 30 points in the teams’ first meeting this season, the Dawson Springs girls’ basketball team put up more of a fight in Thursday night’s rematch. The Lady Panthers only trailed by single digits in the 3rd quarter before eventually falling 69-53 to the Lady Tigers.
Abby Ward scored 23 points to lead the Lady Panthers, including a jumper ahead of the buzzer to end the 1st quarter. It was Madelyn Huddleston’s turn in the 3rd-quarter, with her putback before the clock struck zero providing momentum going into the final frame.
