Crittenden County had the ball, down 63-61 late, Tuesday night. But the Rockets never got off a shot.
Instead, Caldwell County’s Jabrion Spikes knocked the ball away to teammate Demaurius Thompson. Thompson quickly fed the ball back ahead to Spikes, who went in for a slam to finish off the Tigers’ 65-61 triumph in Marion.
Caldwell is now 14-4 and has won eight of its last nine games. As of Wednesday, the 14 wins are the most in the 2nd Region (Lyon County and Madisonville-North Hopkins each have 13).
