Former Caldwell County Tiger Derrin Boyd had a game-high 22 points Thursday night as his Georgetown Tigers defeated Pikeville 86-67 in Mid-South Conference action in Georgetown.
Boyd was 7 of 11 from the field and made four of his five 3-point attempts. He was also 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
Boyd also had five rebounds and five assists in the victory as Georgetown improved to 17-3 overall and 10-3 in the Mid-South. The Tigers have won nine of their last 10 games.
Georgetown plays at home again Saturday afternoon against the University of the Cumberlands.
