Caldwell’s Girls Avenge Loss With 42-29 Win at Livingston

Caldwell County’s girls used a big fourth quarter to avenge a loss to Livingston Central earlier this season.

Down 23-21 entering the final frame Monday night in Smithland, the Lady Tigers outscored the Lady Cardinals 21-6 over the final 8 minutes to pull out a 42-29 victory.

Caldwell (9-12) had lost to Livingston (7-13) in the 2nd Region All A Classic earlier this season.

A.J. Hollowell had 11 points to pace the Lady Tigers in the rematch. Parris Gray added nine points while Katy Smiley and Morgan Aikins had six apiece.

Livingston was led by Victoria Joiner’s 10 points.

Caldwell’s girls, who were 0-6 at one time, will play at home on Tuesday when they host 7th District rival Dawson Springs for varsity action at 6:00.

Livingston will host Carlisle County on Tuesday.
