Caldwell County product Derrin Boyd flirted with a triple-double Monday night while leading Georgetown College past Life University 90-62 in Mid-South Conference play.
Boyd totaled a game-high 22 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists as 13th-ranked Georgetown improved to 19-3 overall and 12-3 in conference play.
Boyd was 8 of 14 from the floor and made three of his six 3-point attempts. He made all three of his free throws.
Boyd also had two blocks and two steals in 28 minutes of action.
The Tigers are scheduled to wrap up what has been a five-game homestand on Thursday night when Cumberland University visits Georgetown.
