Former Christian County softball standout Emmy Blane got her junior softball season off to a solid start Thursday. Blane and the Kentucky Wildcats picked up a 5-2 win over Wisconsin Thursday night in the 2022 Northern Lights/Southern Lights Tournament in Leesburg, Florida.
Blane, who got the start for UK at second base, was 1-3 with an RBI. Her hit came in the bottom of the 6th inning when she singled to left field, driving in Taylor Ebbs, and extending the UK lead to 5-2.
Blane also had a perfect game in the field with two putouts and one assist.
UK is back in action Friday against Michigan State.
