Hopkinsville’s girls were on the wrong end of a 38-point performance on Thursday.

Crittenden County junior Taylor Guess turned in a career-high point total as the Lady Rockets defeated the Lady Tigers 63-46 in Marion.

Guess and the Lady Rockets led just 25-23 at halftime, but outscored Hoptown 23-7 in the third quarter to build a 48-30 advantage.

Natalie Boone added 11 points for Crittenden, which won its 20th game of the season and will take a 20-7 mark into next week’s 5th District tournament at Rocket Arena.

Hopkinsville had won the last 12 meetings between the two schools. Crittenden had not topped the Lady Tigers since December of 2004.
