
Murray High had two relay teams advance to the finals of the KHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships presented by UK Healthcare Friday.
The 400-yard free relay team of Kellie Tobergte, Isaac Bourne, Cooper Eye, and Gabe Turley finished in 14th place in both the prelims and the finals. They improved a second in the finals with a time of 3:28.05.
The 200-yard free relay team of Kellie Tobergte, Isaac Bourne, John Outland, and Gabe Turley qualified for the finals with a 16th place finish in the preliminaries. They improved one spot in the consolation finals, finishing in 1:33.28 which was nearly three-quarters of a second faster than the prelims.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Cooper Eye, Ethan Peng, Mason McCallum, and John Outland 10 finished in 37th place
Kellie Tobergte was 28th in the 50-yard freestyle and 39th in the 100-yard freestyle.
Isaac Bourne was 32nd in the 100-yard freestyle and 38th in the 200-yard freestyle.
Gabe Turley was 33rd in the 100-yard butterfly and 35th in the 200-yard IM.
Cooper Eye was 39th in the 500-yard freestyle and was 40th in the 200-yard freestyle.
John Outland was 39th in the 100-yard backstroke.
Ethan Peng was 39th in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Mason McCallum was 40th in the 500-yard freestyle.
As a team, Murray finished in 31st place with 10 points.
