Even though he had been through a senior game at Davidson, it was obvious Tuesday that Kellan Grady not only enjoyed his moment in the spotlight in Rupp Arena but even got a bit emotional. It certainly looked like Grady might have shed a few tears during “My Old Kentucky Home” while standing with his parents. He certainly would not have been the first player to do that at senior night at UK, but insisted Friday he did not have any tears when I asked him about his emotions.
“I keep hearing those rumors I teared up or may have shed a few tears, which did not happen,” said Grady. “But I mean it was definitely an exciting night, and amazing to be with my parents and to play in front at Rupp Arena one last time.
“Just seeing our home crowd appreciated both me and Davion was great. But I have to refute that (about crying). Two people asked me that but I am denying that.”
What about if pictures seem to indicate he did tear up during the ceremony?
“I’d like to see them and get hold of them. A few people have asked me that but I’m denying it,” he said.
However, he won’t deny that this season at Kentucky has made him a better player going into UK’s final regular-season game at Florida today. He knows playing in “arguably the best conference in the country” has helped develop his overall game. He also feels the pressure of every game being a “big game” helped improve his game.

Kellan, have you ever heard of a rapper named Lathan Warlick? You have got to find his post on Facebook where he sings a song called It’s Okay to Cry! It is amazing!! I love it and it reminds me of the feedback of senior night. It’s OK! I think you’ll love it. Anyway, we all still love you and for me, I miss you already!! Will be watching you in the NBA!
I just found it Teresa. Great suggestion
