It had been 31 years since Lyon County had reached the boys’ 2nd Region championship game and more than 70 since a boys regional title had gone back to Lyon County. That history is now in the distant past as the Lyons took down Hopkinsville 87-69 to earn the trip to Rupp Arena. Gunnar Bingham describes the feeling as “amazing.”
