Braving cold and windy conditions, the Lyon County Lyons opened the 2022 tennis season on the road at Calloway County Tuesday afternoon. The Lyons would pick up a singles win and a doubles win, but ended up falling to the Lakers 5-2.
Mason Byassee picked up a win over Caleb Johnson in boys singles, while the pairing of Byassee and Dalton Phillips defeated Jayden Morris and Cesar Villeda.
Lyon County is scheduled to be back in action Friday at Madisonville.
