With the season set to get underway next week, the Christian County Lady Colonels took to the diamond for their first preseason scrimmage Thursday evening. Behind a blast off the bat of Gracie Harned, the Lady Colonels got past Russellville 4-1 at Christian County High School.
Christian County scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning. After Pickle Winkler scored the first run of the game, Gracie Harned blasted a two run shot out of the park to extend the lead.
The Lady Colonels added an insurance run later in the contest to get to the final 4-1 score.
Christian County is set to open the season Monday when they host Graves County.
