Caldwell County’s girls took eight of nine matches Thursday at Union County to claim their first team victory of the season.
The Lady Tigers dropped just one of six singles matches.
Josie Shaffer defeated Paige Buckman 6-2, 6-1; Rachel McClung blanked Nevaeh Driesbach 8-0; Keegan Miller fell to Jariah McDaniel 8-3; Avery Ritchey handled Tristan Thompson 8-3; Emma Peake rolled past Abby Driesbach 8-1; and Bella Stewart dismissed Aubrey Straub 8-2.
Caldwell swept all three doubles matches on Thursday.
McClung and Miller beat McDaniel and Nevaeh Driesbach 6-2, 6-1; Ritchey and Peake turned back Buckman and Thompson 8-1; and Shaffer and Stewart topped Abby Driesbach and Straub 8-2.
The Lady Tigers had dropped their season opener to Paducah St. Mary 5-2 on Monday.
