The Barrow family is a Todd County Central athletic legacy. Paul was an all-region basketball player under Coach Fred Harper in the 1980s.

His son Nolan was an all-region basketball player just a few years removed from graduation and a playing career at Campbellsville University.

And now daughter Natalie has cemented her place in TCCHS lore.

The Todd Central senior recently wrapped up her seventh year as a cheerleader with the Lady Rebel squad. During that time, the team has traveled throughout the southeast United States and brought hardware back to Elkton.

During the basketball season, Barrow and the squad got to cheer on the Rebels at the All A Classic State Tournament in Richmond.

“That was very fun, and I enjoyed the whole experience. We had never experienced anything like that, and it was good to be together and cheer on the team,” she said.

While she didn’t follow in the path of her father and brother as basketball players, Natalie still got to be on the floor and getting the crowd involved as a cheerleader.

“I have always loved watching basketball, and really get into the game. Cheering gives me the opportunity to be on the floor and doing what I love,” she said.

Off the floor, Barrow is part of another All A – her report card. She is a member of the Beta Club and Spanish Club and excels in FFA.

She was a member of the TCCHS FFA regional ag sales team that competed at Murray State University in 2019.

Two years ago, she placed second at the Pennyrile Region FFA Speaking Competition.

“Being in FFA, it’s about leadership and feeling involved in what you do,” Barrow said.

She co-ops every day at the Crossroads Animal Clinic in Todd County.

After high school, Barrow would like to study to be a surgeon and major in surgical technology.
