Over the past several years, it has been hard for teams in the 8th District to put runs up on the board against the Christian County Lady Colonels. In fact, since April 1, 2015, 8th District opponents have scored 10 total runs against Christian County.
Such was the case again Thursday afternoon for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. Gracie Harned and Riley Hancock combined to throw a three-inning perfect game as the Lady Colonels rolled to a 15-0 win over the Lady Tigers.
The two hurlers struck out 8 of the 9 batters they faced. Harned got 5 strikeouts, while Hancock picked up three.
Christian County scored their 15 runs on just six hits, taking advantage of nine walks, six hit batters, and eight wild pitches.

Pickle Winkler was 2-2 for Christian County with an RBI and three runs scored. Winkler gave Lady Colonel fans a scare in the opening when he was hit in the back of the neck by a pitch.
Karlee Crick was 1-2 with three RBIs. Avery Adcock was 1-1 with 2 RBIs and three runs scored.
Christian County is set to be back on the field this weekend in Louisville, where they will take on Male and Greenwood.
Hopkinsville is scheduled to travel to Trigg County on Monday.
