Caldwell County has won three straight games since an 0-2 start.
The Tigers rode the pitching of Ben Goodaker to a 9-2 win over Webster County Friday at the VFW Ballpark in Princeton.
The junior right-hander struck out nine while allowing just one earned run on five base hits. He gave up just one walk in the contest.
Caldwell never trailed, scoring twice in each of the second and third innings, then going up 9-0 with five runs in the fifth.
Webster (1-4) got both of its runs in the top of the sixth inning.
Deontaye Walls and Jamus Carneyhan were each 2-for-2 at the plate for Caldwell. Cole Slone was 1-for-3 with a two-run double in the third inning.
Micah Austin was 2-for-3 for Webster.
Caldwell next visits Paducah Tilghman on Monday.
Webster will play two games in the Big Orange Classic at Marshall County on Saturday.
