Lady Wildcats Take 15th at Invitational of the South

Trigg County opened its 2022 track and field season with a 15^th place finish at the Invitational of the South Saturday at Marshall County High School.

There were 23 schools that scored points at what proved to be the largest track and field meet in western Kentucky since the Covid shut down two years ago.

Fatu Crain put together three finishes inside the top 10 in running events, and Riley Brame had three top-10s in the jumping and hurdle events.

LADY WILDCAT RESULTS

Fatu Crain – 3^rd in the 400-meter run (1:05.79); 5^th in the 100-meter dash (13.84); 7^th in the 200-meter dash (28.72)

Riley Brame – 4^th in the 100-meter hurdles (20.15); 10^th in the 300-meter hurdles (1:00.54); 10^th in the triple jump (29-03.75)15^th in the high jump (4-0)

Alliyah Thomas – 14^th in the 200-meter dash (30.66)

Alesha Nyakeraka – 17^th in the 1600-meter run (7:16.36)26^th in the 800-meter run (3:24..41)

Alex Smith – 23^rd in the 800-meter run (3:13.70); 40^th in the shot put (20-07.50); 48^th in the discus throw (51-00)

Alivia Norwood – 24^th in the shot put (24-10); 41^st in the discus throw (57-03)

Mackenzie Gugeski – 38^th in the 400-meter dash (1:20.24)

The 3200-meter relay team finished in ninth place with a time of 12:42.53.
