
Trigg County opened its 2022 track and field season with a 15th place finish at the Invitational of the South Saturday at Marshall County High School.
There were 23 schools that scored points at what proved to be the largest track and field meet in western Kentucky since the Covid shut down two years ago.
Fatu Crain put together three finishes inside the top 10 in running events, and Riley Brame had three top-10s in the jumping and hurdle events.

Fatu Crain – 3rd in the 400-meter run (1:05.79); 5th in the 100-meter dash (13.84); 7th in the 200-meter dash (28.72)
Riley Brame – 4th in the 100-meter hurdles (20.15); 10th in the 300-meter hurdles (1:00.54); 10th in the triple jump (29-03.75)15th in the high jump (4-0)
Alliyah Thomas – 14th in the 200-meter dash (30.66)
Alesha Nyakeraka – 17th in the 1600-meter run (7:16.36)26th in the 800-meter run (3:24..41)
Alex Smith – 23rd in the 800-meter run (3:13.70); 40th in the shot put (20-07.50); 48th in the discus throw (51-00)
Alivia Norwood – 24th in the shot put (24-10); 41st in the discus throw (57-03)
Mackenzie Gugeski – 38th in the 400-meter dash (1:20.24)
The 3200-meter relay team finished in ninth place with a time of 12:42.53.
