After a tough weekend trip to Louisville, the Christian County Lady Colonels got the rebound they were looking for Tuesday evening. The Lady Colonels scored nine runs in their first three at-bats as they cruised to a 10-1 road win over Webster County.
The first five batters of the game for the Lady Colonels all reached base as Christian County would put five runs on the board in the top of the first. Avery Adcock had a two-run double while Karlee Crick and Gracie Harned added RBI singles in the inning.
After Webster scored a run in the bottom of the 1st, the Lady Colonels came back with three more runs in the top of the second. The big hit in the inning was a two-run blast off the bat of Pickle Winkler. The Lady Colonels added a run in the third converting a hit batter and an error.
Christian County would add a run in the top of the 6th on back-to-back doubles from Avery Adcock and Karlee Crick.
Crick ended the game 3-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Avery Adcock was 2-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Gracie Harned was 2-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Pickle Winkler ended the game going 2-3, including her second-inning home run.
Riley Hancock and Gracie Harned combined to allow the Lady Trojans just three hits. Each struck out five batters in the game.
Christian County improves to 6-2 on the season. The Lady Colonels will head to Eddyville Saturday to take on Lyon County and Massac County.
