Caldwell County held a lead at Lyon County last season but saw the Lyons come back to grab a 5-3 victory.
Friday night, the Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the first inning at Lyon. This time, though, Caldwell was able to hang on for a 4-2 triumph.
Deontaye Walls pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn a save in the victory.
He said afterward the Tigers didn’t want to let another shot at a win slip away.
