Lyon County’s Emma West doubled home what proved to be the game-winning runs in Saturday’s 8-6 win over host Murray in the Spring Break Bash.
West’s two-out drive to the fence knocked in three runs to put the Lady Lyons up 8-4 in the top of the fifth inning. (That was the last inning with the game being played on a 75-minute time limit.)
That proved big when Murray scored twice and loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth. However, Lyon held on for the victory.
