The Caldwell County Lady Tiger tennis team fell just short on Tuesday, dropping a 3-2 decision at Webster County.
The teams split two doubles matches, but the Lady Trojans took two of the three singles matches to pull out the overall victory.
In singles:
Sara Welshans (WC) defeated Josie Shaffer 8-1;
Allison Meisel (WC) def. Rachel McClung 8-6;
Keegan Miller (CC) def. Maggie White 8-3.
In doubles:
Maggie Jones/Allie Newman (WC) def. McClung/Miller 8-5;
Avery Ritchey/Emma Peake (CC) def. Brylee Whitledge/Kimberly Shelton 8-3.
Caldwell is scheduled to play at home on Thursday.
