After a slow start to his freshman season at Rend Lake College, former Caldwell County standout Tate VanHooser has his batting average up to .282.
Caldwell’s all-time home run leader connected for his second collegiate homer on Friday in an 11-5 win over Lake Land College.
The Warriors are 16-23 overall this season but 11-7 in conference play.
Rend Lake is next scheduled to host Olney Central College on Tuesday.
