
Hopkinsville made three first inning runs stand up as the Tigers claimed a 4-1 road win at Clarksville Northeast Wednesday.
Joseph Boor’s two-run single highlighted the opening inning, and Jacob Dilday pulled off a successful steal of home to round out the scoring.
Hoptown added its fourth run in the fifth inning thanks to a pair of Eagle errors.
Three Hopkinsville pitchers combined to limit Northeast to four hits. Lucas Kaetzel went the first four innings, allowing one run and striking out two. Mason Spain pitched two scoreless innings, and Dilday struck out two in one inning of work,
Kaden West and Zach Moss had two of Hoptown’s three hits.
The Tigers up their record to 6-8 ahead of Friday’s district showdown with Christian County.
