Caldwell Guys Take 2nd at Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays

The Caldwell County boys’ track team captured a second-place finish in the Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays at Marshall County on Friday.

The Tigers totaled 91 team points, trailing only host Marshall County with 136.5.

Henderson County was third with 83 points while Murray placed fourth with 77.

Graves County finished fifth with 69 points, followed by Hopkinsville (59), Crittenden County (45), Livingston Central (19) and Fulton County (15.5).

The Tigers’ 4×800-meter relay team placed fourth but set another school record with a time of 9:34.08.

Caldwell’s 4×100 team was second in 46.38 seconds.

The 4×200 squad was fourth in 1:37.25.

The Tigers’ 4×400 team was seventh in 4:00.93.

Caldwell was second in the 800 spring medley in 1:42.46.

The Tigers placed fifth in the distance medley in 14:00.38.

The 4×100-meter freshman relay squad won its event in a time of 49.32 seconds.

The 4×200 freshman team placed second in 4:22.15.

Elijah Shaheen captured long jump competition at 19 feet, 10.25 inches. Giovantie Riley was fifth at 18 feet, 9 inches.

Isaiah Joyner took the triple jump at 51 feet, 5.5 inches. Max Heaton was seventh at 33 feet.

Shaheen and Isaiah McGowan tied for sixth in the high jump at 5 feet, 4 inches.

Cooper Mobley was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 10 inches.

Jackson Risley was sixth in the javelin throw at 88 feet, 3 inches.
