After leading the event at times in the first two rounds, Emma Talley settled for a 48th place finish in the DIO Implant LA Open at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles.

After birdying her first three holes in the second round on Friday, Talley got to 7-under overall and briefly held a three-shot lead.

That was after firing a 4-under 67 in Thursday’s first round — in which she also led the field at one point — that left her just one shot off the lead after 18 holes.

But the Princeton native cooled after Friday’s hot start and finished with a 3-over 74 which left her at 1-under overall through 36 holes.

Talley carded rounds of 72 and 74 on Saturday and Sunday to finish the event at 3-over 287.

That put her among eight players who each won $5,097 for tying for 48th.

Nasa Hataoka finished at 15-under 269 to win the tournament by five shots over Hannah Green.

Next up on the LPGA Tour is the Palos Verdes Championship presented by Bank of America. Talley is in the field for that event which begins Thursday in California.
