Trigg County High School golfer Ty Butts finished tied for second place Saturday at the Bluegrass Golf Tour stop at Miller Memorial Golf Course outside of Murray.
Butts shot an 11-over par 82 to finish three shots behind the winner Boyd Sage of Paducah. Butts had nine pars on the day.
He came back on Sunday and finished tied for 11th place at the Madisonville Country Club. He struggled in the windy conditions and could never get on track, shooting a 23-over par 94. Owensboro’s Jax Malone won the Sunday event with an 11-over par 82.
