Hoptown Lady Tigers Overpower Heritage Christian

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers rapped out 19 hits and scored in every at-bat as they cruised past Heritage Christian 15-0 on Senior Night at Hopkinsville High School. Ten different Lady Tigers had a hit, while seven different Lady Tigers drove in a run during the game.

Hopkinsville put up three runs in the first, three in the second, seven in the third, and then closed out the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Shaniyah Straight held the Lady Warriors to just two hits during her four innings in the circle. Straight struck out nine while walking four.

Straight also led Hopkinsville at the plate, where she was 4-4 with a double, five RBIs, and two runs scored. Kaitlyn Kaetzel went 3-3 with a triple, three RBIs, and three runs scored.

Kennedy Hughes and Madison Warren had the two hits for Heritage Christian.

Hopkinsville is set to be back in action on the road Thursday night at Russellville.

HCA will travel to Christian Fellowship Thursday evening.
