Lady Colonels Stay Hot With Rout of Fort Campbell (w/PHOTOS)

The Christian County softball team won its third game in four tries and improved to 14-6 overall with a 15-0 victory over Fort Campbell on Tuesday.  The Lady Colonels have outscored the competition 36-2 in their last three victories, with the only setback coming on an extra-inning walk-off loss at Marshall County.

A nine-run 1st inning got the Lady Colonels started, highlighted by an RBI double by Gracie Harned and a two-run triple by Avery Adcock.

Leading 12-0 in the top of the 4th, Riley Hancock doubled in a run, and Adcock finished off her four RBI evening with a two-run double for the final margin.

Hancock earned the win in the circle for the Lady Colonels, allowing a single hit over four innings with eight strikeouts.

Adcock was 3/3 at the plate, and Kaleigh Shaw and Harned each finished with a hit and a run driven in for Christian County.

Kiley McCrary took the loss for the Lady Falcons, allowing ten earned runs on seven hits with six walks and seven strikeouts.

Fort Campbell slips to 2-9, 0-3 in district play, with a trip to West Creek, TN coming up on Wednesday.

The Lady Colonels will look to stay unbeaten against 8th-District teams when they travel to UHA on Wednesday.
