
Caldwell County’s girls ran their winning streak against Dawson Springs to 14 straight on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers picked up a 19-4 7th District triumph in three innings in a game that was played in Princeton but was technical a “home” game for Dawson Springs.
Due to tornado damage at their park, the Lady Panthers are not playing any home games this season.
Dawson (0-9 overall, 0-4 district) trailed just 5-4 after one inning, but Caldwell (10-7, 2-2) scored seven runs in each of the second and third innings to pull away.
Maci Tyler was 2-for-2 with three runs batted in and two runs scored for Caldwell, which had just five base hits in the contest.
However, the Lady Tigers were the beneficiaries of 11 walks and five hit batters.
Carlee Palm was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored.
Alexis Wood got the win in the pitching circle for Caldwell. She tossed two innings, allowing three earned runs on two base hits. Wood struck out four and walked three.
Brylee Spurlin had a double for the Lady Panthers.
Caldwell will host Hopkins County Central on Thursday.
Dawson visits McLean County on Friday.
