Caldwell County High School grad Fonso White has been chosen as an assistant coach for the 17th annual Hoosier Gym Classic.
The Indiana high school all-star basketball game is played in Knightstown’s historic Hoosier Gym, home to the Hickory Huskers from the movie Hoosiers.
The girls and boys all-star doubleheader will be played Saturday, April 30. The girls will play at noon with the boys’ contest to follow. Tickets are available at www.thehoosiergym.com.

Knightstown is about a 45-minute drive east from downtown Indianapolis.
White spent the last four years as boys’ basketball head coach at Bishop Luers in Fort Wayne, Ind.
White announced last month that he has stepped down from that post, but that he plans to remain in coaching.
He is a 1993 CCHS graduate.
