Corey Cissell blanked Hazard on one base hit for six innings before running into trouble in the seventh inning. But the Lyons held on for a 5-3 victory over Hazard on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the state All A Classic baseball tournament in Richmond.
Lyon faces Pikeville early Sunday morning in the state semifinals.
Cissell finished with 10 strikeouts and gave up just three base hits in 6.2 innings of work.
