The Crittenden County Lady Rockets scored in every inning but one Monday evening as they rolled to a 14-4 win over the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers. Crittenden County’s only donut in the game came in the bottom of the third innings.

The Lady Rocket bats were in high gear, connecting for 13 base hits in the contest.

Crittenden County scored four in the first, four more in the second, and two more in the bottom of the fourth. Just as it appeared the Lady Rockets were going to cruise to a five-inning win, the Lady Blazers said “not quite so fast.”

A Crittenden County error opened the door for UHA to score a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning, trimming the lead to 10-2. After the Lady Rockets got one of those runs back in the bottom half of the inning, the Lady Blazers found the scoring column again.

UHA would plate two more runs in the top of the 6th inning. The big hit was an RBI double off the bat of Trinity Luke. The Lady Blazers added another run on a passed ball to make it an 11-4 game.

But that would be as close as the Lady Blazers could get. Crittenden County loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth and then got a bases-clearing, walk-off double from 8th grader Elliot Evans to end the game at 14-4.

Regan Pollard led the Lady Blazers at the plate going 3-3 with two doubles and a run scored. Trinity Luke was 2-3 with an RBI.

UHA drops to 3-7 with the loss.
