
Caldwell County’s girls took four of five matches from visiting Fort Campbell on Tuesday afternoon at the CCHS tennis courts in Princeton.
Adrianna Cuestas picked up the Lady Falcons’ only win, defeating Meleah Greenfield 8-0 in singles.
Meanwhile, Caldwell’s Josie Shaffer defeated Alex Steams 6-2, 6-2, and Ella Johnson edged Hannah Corrales 9-8 (7-5).
In doubles, Caldwell’s Rachel McClung and Keegan Miller topped Steams and Cuestas 6-2, 6-0, while Avery Ritchey and Emma Peake beat Corrales and Jaeda Hughes 8-1.
On Monday, Caldwell’s girls took two of three matches from Madisonville-North Hopkins and led in another match when rain stopped play.
The Caldwell tennis teams will make up a home date against Henderson County on Friday.
Fort Campbell tennis goes to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Thursday.
