
The Christian County Lady Colonels won for the 21st time this season on Tuesday, picking up a 13-4 victory over Caldwell County in a game that was moved to Princeton from Hopkinsville.
The contest was tied 4-4 after one inning, but Christian’s Riley Hancock blanked the Lady Tigers over the final six innings. Hancock took over in the pitching circle with two outs in the bottom of the first inning and allowed just two base hits in 6.1 innings of work. She struck out six and walked none.
At the plate, Hancock led the Lady Colonels with a 4-for-5 performance with two runs batted in.
Pickle Winkler was 3-for-4 for Christian, which is 21-7.
Karlee Crick was 2-for-4 and had a two-run homer as part of a five-run second inning that put Christian up 9-4. Crick finished the day with four RBIs.
Avery Adcock, Gracie Harned and Allie Houchens each had two hits while LaiLai McGregor had a two-run home run in the seventh as the Lady Colonels put up three runs in that frame.
A.J. Hollowell was the only Caldwell player with more than one base hit. She finished 2-for-3.
Harper Holeman added a double.
The Lady Tigers are now 12-9.
Christian is scheduled to visit Crittenden County on Thursday.
Caldwell has another difficult opponent on Thursday when the Lady Tigers go to McCracken County.
