
After announcing originally that the tournament would start Sunday afternoon, officials with the 8th District baseball tournament have now announced a change in plans. Due to school engagements, the start of the tournament has been pushed back to Monday, May 16.
The first game of the evening will have top-seed Christian County taking on Fort Campbell at 5:30.
The second game, which will be at 7:30, or thirty minutes after the conclusion of the first game will have Hopkinsville taking on University Heights.
The 8th District championship game is now set to be played Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30.
Tournament officials have announced that if weather causes a cancellation games will be pushed back to the next day.
For the tournament, all fans will enter through the Tiger Field Gate.
Tickets will be $7 at the gate. Children 8 and under will get in for free. Students will pay for tickets. No Coaches Cards or Season Passes will be permitted.
