Lady Wildcats Too Much for Visiting Dawson Springs (w/PHOTOS)

Five players drove in at least two runs each and Avery Wade was a walk shy of perfect over three innings in the Trigg County Lady Wildcats’ 16-0 victory over Dawson Springs on Monday.

Trigg wins its second in three outings to improve to 8-11 with a trip to Crittenden County coming up on Tuesday.

Livi Breckel’s RBI double highlighted a four-run 1st inning, and Lillie Cortner drove in three runs in the 2nd to help the Lady Wildcats to a 9-0 advantage.

Kiley Slone singled in a run and three more came home on bases-loaded walks, before Madilynn Smith ended the game with a three-run triple with one out in the 3rd.

Wade struck out seven to pick up her eighth victory of the season.

Cortner led the Lady Wildcats with five RBI, and Rylee Hendricks was 2/2 at the plate.  Smith and Brynlee Smock drove in three runs, and Breckel and Audrey Alexander finished with two RBI.
