Tigers Go ‘West’-Ward in Win Against Ohio County

The Hopkinsville Tigers looked to “the West” as they picked up a big road win Tuesday night. Kaden West drove in six runs as the Tigers scored 11 unanswered in rolling to an 11-1 win at Ohio County.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, scoring on a wild pitch after back-to-back singles.

The Tigers came back with a pair of runs in the top of the third to go up 2-1. The big hit in the inning was an RBI single from Landon Cook.

Hoptown added three more runs in the top of the fourth. Kaden West cleared the bases with a 3-run triple to move the lead out to 5-1.

West repeated that in the top of the fifth as part of a six-run inning that saw the Tigers run the lead out to 11-1.

Zach Moss then sat the Eagles down in the bottom half of the inning to end the game due to the 10-run rule.

Kaden West finished the game 3-4 with two triples, 6 RBIs, and two runs scored. Preston Chaudoin, Joseph Boor, Jacob Dilday, Tim Cansler, and Landon Cook added one hit each.

Zach Moss picked up the win, going five innings, giving up one earned run on three hits, while striking out eight and walking two.

The Tigers go to 11-13 with the victory. They go on the road Thursday to take on Calloway County.
