
Caldwell County led 9-8 in the top of the seventh inning, but Crittenden County had runners at second and third base with two outs Thursday in Princeton.
Crittenden’s Casey Cates hit a shot toward the right-center field gap that looked like it would give the Rockets the lead.
But Caldwell right fielder Jamus Carneyhan tracked it down, making a diving grab in the outfield to end the game and preserve the Tigers’ victory over the Rockets.
