Georgetown College head coach Chris Briggs was in Princeton on Friday to officially sign Caldwell County’s Jabrion Spikes.
Spikes was the 2nd Region Player of the Year after scoring 30.7 points and grabbing 11.9 rebounds a contest this past season.
Spikes will keep a Caldwell County grad on the Georgetown Tigers’ roster.
Derrin Boyd has been with the program the past three years. After a redshirt campaign, Boyd was an All-Mid-South Conference First Team selection each of the last two seasons. Boyd is transferring to Lipscomb University, where he still has three years of eligibility.
YSE spoke with Briggs following Friday’s signing ceremony.
