Hoptown and Henderson to Battle in Girls’ Singles Regional Semifinals

The final four of the Girls’ Singles 2nd Region tennis tournament is set and it will feature a Hoptown vs Henderson matchup in both semifinal matchups Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville’s Sophie Maddux and Abbie Moss have advanced to the semis and will move on to the state tennis tournament. The same holds true for Henderson County’s Zoe Lawrence and Kendall Warren.

The semfinal pairings will have Maddux taking on Warren and Moss taking on Lawrence. Both matches are slated to start Wednesday at 5pm.

Maddux advanced with wins over Emily Pinkerton, of Madisonville-North Hopkins (6-0, 6-0), and Sara Welshans, of Webster County (6-0, 6-0).

Moss moved on to the semis with wins over Abby Driesbach, of Union County (6-0, 6-1) and Chloe Mackey, of Hopkins County Central (6-0, 6-1).
