
Autumn Bell will finish her storied high school track and field career in four events at the Class 3A State Track and Field Championships after a pair of wins and a pair of second-place finishes at the region meet Tuesday in Owensboro.
Bell finished first in the 200-meter run and the triple jump. She recorded second-place finishes in both the 100 meters and the long jump – achieving personal best times and distances in both.
Jayda Johnson finished in third place in the 400-meter run and will have to see if her time will qualify her for the state meet as an at-large entrant.
Buoyed by Bell’s top finishes, Christian County finished in seventh place as a team with 46 points, just four points behind sixth-place Hopkinsville. Henderson County won the region title with 122 points.

The 400-meter relay team finished in 5th place with a time of 54.63 seconds.
The 800-meter relay team came in 5th place in 1:55.94.
The 1600-meter relay team finished in ninth place in 4:49.33.
