While possessing a funny and light-hearted side, recent Hopkinsville High School grad Morgan Brown finished her high school days with some serious accomplishments and plans for a great future. That along with exhibiting a wonderful compassion for others bring Morgan to be featured as this week’s Chick-fil-A “Triple A.”

Morgan was a four-year member of the Hopkinsville High School tennis team. Then, after spending the summer prior to senior year as a lifeguard at YMCA, she decided to give competitive swimming a try. By the end of her senior season in the pool at Hopkinsville, Morgan had cut ten seconds off her time in the backstroke, a pretty significant accomplishment for one year of high school competitive swimming. Her efforts led to Morgan being awarded the Jeffers Award.

But there is much more to this outstanding young lady than what she did on the courts and in the pool.

Morgan was also a standout in the classroom. She was a dual credit scholar, with a GPA of 4.1. She was a co-op student during her senior year, spending half the year at the Christian County Family Resource Center and half a year with the Pennyrile Area Development District.

Morgan was on the Principal’s List and the Honor Roll all four years of high school. She also finished in the Top 25 of her graduating class in 2022 at Hopkinsville High School.

She was also extensively involved in her school community. Morgan was in the National Honors Society, Beta Club, Key Club, Student Council, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

If you ever attended a Hopkinsville High School football or basketball game, you would have likely seen Morgan showing off her school spirit being a part of the vocal student section cheering on their fellow Tigers.

Morgan is also a young lady that possesses a great heart for others and lives out her faith. She attends Edgewood Baptist Church and has been a part of multiple mission trips to Alabama, West Virginia, and Owensboro through World Changers, a group that she has been involved with for several years.

World Changers is a faith-based mission organization that provides the labor for low-income repairs. The materials are usually paid for by local churches or city governments through grants. The labor is provided mainly by students age 12 and up, guided by 2-3 skilled adults who lead each team. The week’s effort consists of 5 days of home repair, and most projects are completed within the 5 days with a team.

Morgan grew up visiting her dad on projects he was coordinating and once of age, couldn’t wait to join. She was working on her first roof project as a freshman in high school.

As for being involved in this effort, Morgan notes “being involved with World Changers has been one of the most impactful decisions of my life. Seeing a house before you on Monday morning that needs so much repair, to being hands-on in the transformation that makes it a liveable home 5 days later is indescribable.”

As for the future, Morgan plans to attend Hopkinsville Community College and then transfer to Western Kentucky University. She would like to become a dental hygienist.

She loves to travel, loves the beach, shopping, and is a St. Louis Cardinals fan. That makes her extra cool.

So many reasons why Morgan Brown is this week’s “Triple A.”
