Team Sugar and Spice is tied for third after one round of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in Midland, Mich.
If you missed it, this week’s tournament is a two-person team event, and Team Sugar and Spice is made up of Emma Talley and Jodi Ewart Shadoff.
In alternate-shot action in the first round on Wednesday, Talley and Ewart Shadoff had five birdies and just one bogey — on the par-5 3rd hole, which was their 12th hole of the day.
The 4-under-par 66 has Talley and Ewart Shadoff just one stroke off the lead after 18 holes at Midland Country Club.
Two teams are at 5-under while three teams are 4-under.
The second round of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational is Thursday. Talley and Ewart Shadoff will tee off at 7:39 a.m. Eastern time in the second round.
The top 35 teams plus ties after 36 holes will play the weekend.
