Former Glasgow High School golfer Nina McMurtrey scored a two-shot win Tuesday at the Bluegrass Golf Tour’s Cullan Brown Invitational hosted by the Calvert City Country Club.
McMurtrey, who is headed to Centre College this fall, shot a three-over-par 75 Tuesday which included three birdies on the front nine. McMurtrey’s two-day total of seven over par was two shots better than Jessica Stephens.
The former McCracken County High School golfer who now plays at Bellarmine University also shot a 75 on Tuesday and held the lead at one point. She finished at nine over par.
A pair of golfers headed to Murray State in the fall finished in the top five. Former Madisonville High School golfer Kaitlyn Zieba finished at 11-over and Ellie West, who played at Graves County, finished at 20 over par.
